AVA/AVO CDP Gather Analysis

At Apex we use the CDP Gathers to analyze amplitude-versus-offset (AVO) to distinguish gas filled formations. AVO intercept and AVO slope traces are evaluated to generate trend lines for comparison. The comparison of intercept-slope deviation on a cross-plot is used to identify gas filled formations.
