Geologic Cross-Sections
At Apex we generate digital geologic cross-sections from either raster images or LAS files. Both files are generated in-house using Neuralog’s software and scanner. The big advantage of LAS files is the capability of digital measurements for maps as well as log editing for models. After importing the logs, one can generate different cross-sections with the click of a mouse. You can flatten the cross-section from a formation top, add your interpretation and lithologic patterns with color. You can even make a contour map from the density, gamma ray or any log value of an interval (i.e. Sand).
